Airline Economics

Dr. Lee is a leading airline economist and has provided expert consulting services and independent expert testimony to numerous major carriers (both domestic and international), leading air cargo carriers, industry trade associations and an Internet travel agency. Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, Dr. Lee led LECG's aviation team in the recently completed United/Continental merger (including a presentation of domestic competition and pricing before the U.S. Departument of Justice). Dr. Lee has testified in Federal Court and before arbitration panels as an economic expert on the airline industry, and has also frequently filed testimony before the U.S. Department of Transportation. Dr. Lee is uniquely qualified at analyzing all forms of airline data and is an expert in helping legal teams decipher complex economic issues related to the airline industry. Auctions and Markets

Dr. Lee and is a recognized auction expert and has served as the Chief Auction Strategist for numerous wireless telecommunication firms during spectrum auctions in the US, UK, Nigeria and Egypt, where he was responsible for rules analysis, development of bidding strategies, and round-by-round analysis of bidding behavior. He recently served as Google's Chief Auction Strategist during the FCC's 700 MHz auction. Dr. Lee has also provided auction advice to firms in the electricity, airline, financial securities and diamond industries.
